Overview

The reference standard for conductive-liquid flow

The NT-VMF electromagnetic flow meter measures the volumetric flow of any electrically conductive liquid, from clean drinking water to aggressive acids and abrasive slurries. Because measurement relies on Faraday's law of induction rather than a mechanical element, there are no moving parts inside the bore: nothing to wear, nothing to obstruct flow, and nothing to maintain.

An unobstructed bore makes it ideal for liquids carrying solids, fibres or sediment, where turbines and orifice plates clog. Liner and electrode materials are selected to match your media, six liners from economical hard rubber to chemical-grade PTFE and PFA, and six electrode alloys from standard 316L up to tantalum for nearly any corrosive.

TÜRKAK Calibration Assurance

Every meter is calibrated on our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited rig (AB-0354-K) at ±0.27% uncertainty before dispatch, a traceable, internationally recognized certificate ships with the instrument.

Working Principle

Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction

Field coils above and below the bore generate a magnetic field across the pipe. As a conductive liquid flows through it, a voltage is induced proportional to the flow velocity. Two electrodes set flush in the pipe wall pick up this voltage and the transmitter converts it to volumetric flow.

Because the bore is completely clear, there is no pressure loss, no obstruction and no part to wear, measurement stays accurate for years, even on dirty or fibrous liquids.
